1. What is Coliving?
Coliving is a housing concept where individuals or sometimes couples live together in shared spaces. It’s not just about sharing a roof; it’s about creating a community where people can live, work, and socialise together. Here at Gravity Co, we are facilitators of a community where we encourage events and also host them for our members to attend and grow together.
We believe in our 3 pillars and they are based on:
WELLBEING – The advantages to personal and professional lives with a balanced lifestyle are endless. Our tailored activities and on demand services enable our members to enhance and correct their balance, helping unleash all our members true potential.
SOCIALS & EXPERIENCES – Meaningful engagement through creating open and inviting environments we encourage collaborations and connections with both members and the local communities. From charity events to community dinners, we create powerful experiences our members will never forget.
PROFESSIONAL GROWTH – Career and professional growth is a crucial element to everybody’s lives, an endless journey of reflection and development. From our partnerships to our tailored events, we commit to supporting and helping all our members succeed. The vision is that like-minded members are able to support each other within our spaces and go on to create, work and grow together.
2. What are the Benefits of Coliving?
Coliving offers many advantages, including better budget management, access to shared amenities, a built-in support network and a sense of belonging to a like-minded community. It’s a more flexible (you choose how long you stay) and sociable alternative to traditional housing. It’s a safe and convenient way of living – it comes fully furnished and you can focus on the important things like getting out there and making friends.
3. How Does Pricing Work in Coliving Spaces?
Pricing varies depending on location and the amenities offered. Typically, you’ll pay rent for your room, bed or apartment and this often includes utilities, internet, and access to common areas. Some coliving spaces may also require a security deposit. We’re super simple – your utility bills are included in your monthly payment. The only other thing you have to pay is the council tax (unless you’re exempt).
4. What Amenities are Typically Offered in Coliving Spaces?
Coliving spaces usually provide a range of amenities such as fully furnished rooms, communal kitchens, co-working areas, fitness facilities (location dependant), and social spaces. The goal is to create a comfortable and convenient living environment. Check out the location pages on our website to find out what each of our properties have to offer.
5. Is Coliving Suitable for Families or Couples?
While coliving is associated with young professionals and individuals, some coliving communities do accommodate families and couples. It’s essential to check with specific coliving providers about their offerings. Unfortunately, the majority of the time we will struggle to accommodate the traditional family as our setup is much better suited to professionals that are looking for social experiences.
6. How Do I Apply for a Coliving Space?
The application process varies with each company, but it typically involves filling out an online application, providing references and sometimes participating in an interview. Each coliving provider may have specific requirements.
This is how we do things:
once your interest is registered via our forms on the website or you found us through listing sites, we will speak to you directly and ask you a few questions.
If you’re happy to go ahead and you are suitable for coliving, at this point, we’d recommend coming to see the property.
Our bookings team will be assist you all the way through until everything has been completed. Any questions, just ask!
7. Are Coliving Spaces Pet-Friendly?
Pet policies differ from one coliving space to another. Some are pet-friendly and allow residents to bring their pets, while others may have restrictions or additional fees for pet ownership.
We are pet friendly! However, we can only accommodate smaller pets (10kg or under) so if you have a small fluffy friend, let us know – we’d love to meet them! Check out one of our previous fluffy residents!
8. What is the Community Like in a Coliving Space?
Coliving spaces foster a sense of community through events, workshops, and shared spaces. Residents often engage in social activities, creating a supportive and inclusive environment. Whilst we have a dedicated community and experience manager that hosts all sorts of events from trips to the cinema, theatre, comedy clubs, sports, cocktails, music events, yoga, pilates, meditation, networking events, immersive experiences, museums and OUR BIG PORTFOLIO EVENTS – our spaces are also created to facilitate organic connections and spark spontaneous activities in and out the properties!

All of our spaces are designed with you in mind and even though you have to be careful not to damage the walls and other parts of your space, you can be clever with how you make it your home.
10. What is the Security Like in Coliving Spaces?
Safety and security are a priority in coliving communities. Many spaces have secure access systems and on-site staff to ensure residents’ safety. CCTVs and a properly maintained property ensures all round safety for our residents.
